First international Job & Payed!!! - Primer trabajo internacional y Remunerado!!!

First International  job, and paied xD : 

Hey there followers and friends!! Here I am, another day updating you all on my London Lifestyle experience... first of all I want to thank you all for dedicating a few minutes to read my nonsense haha! I see that the count keeps going up THANKS!!!

Now, for today’s story I will write about my experience in my first proper job ever: Representative of Tenerife in our stand in the “World Travel Market”!!!

For those that don’t quite know what it is about... It is this very big international Event that takes place every year in London. It consists of selling tourism events and products that could make a country attractive to be visited or invested in.

Now you will all be wondering what I was doing there. A, because I have not studied tourism and B,what do I know of selling our Islands (The Canary ones, specifically Tenerife, in my case).

Well my dear friends and followers.... you are quite right thinking that way: I literally had no idea so again... it was a massive challenge for my little self. But... I overcame my fears and ended up being quite a good “saleswoman “ for Tenerife , hahaha!!! :P

I was responsible for the whole stand. I had to help any client with any information they asked for and had to make sure every client new who they had a meeting with and where it was. I also made new contacts for the Canaries, possible investors, and I led them to different businessmen and women, depending on the investor’s interests, of our wonderful island.

It was a very interesting experience and very educational. I realized that, actually, I make a pretty good P.R... if I am allowed to say so myself jiji!!!

And also.. in the very personal aspect of this experience, I have made many personal contacts. Contacts that, who knows, I might need to call in the future or they might offer me a job!! FINGERS CROSSED EVERYBODY...PLEASEEEEE!!!

Back to the more professional details, this experience also showed me two very important things: How to do something well done and how to do things  in a hurry and not so greatly.

But those more “tricky ” details I think are more than right to keep for myself. But I will say that in general it ALL worked really well. Things can always be better but as long as you to a job well done it´s enough!

Hola queridos seguidores y amigos!! Aquí estoy, otro día más contándoles mis experiencias en mi nueva London Lifestyle...

En primer lugar quiero darles las gracias por dedicarle unos minutos a mis tonterías jeje!  Que por lo que veo las visitas a mi blog siguen subiendo, gracias!!!

Ahora, mi historia de hoy. Quiero contaros sobre mi experiencia en mi primer trabajo de verdad, un trabajo remunerado y sin ser de prácticas :D

Responsable del stand de Tenerife en el "World Travel Market"!!!

Para los no saben de que se trata la WTM, deciros que es un evento internacional que tiene lugar cada año en Londres.

Consiste en una feria internacional para vender productos representativos, o de ocio, de distintos países en todo el mundo. Se trata de vender de manera atractiva el interés en visitar los países o incluso invertir en ellos. Se trata con grandes ejecutivos quizás dispuestos a invertir o con posibles turistas, que como todos sabemos es un sector que mueve mucho dinero.

Todos os  preguntaréis qué estaba haciendo yo allí, A porque no he estudiado Turismo y B qué demonios sé yo sobre vender nuestras islas? (Canarias, en concreto, en mi caso, Tenerife).

Pues bien mis queridos amigos y seguidores... tenéis mucha razón pensando  así, no tenía, literalmente, ni idea... jaja!

La verdad que, por esa razón, ha sido un grandísimo reto. No tenía ni valor ni confianza suficiente en mi misma pare verme capaz pero…

Decidí superar mis temores  e inseguridades y terminé siendo una muy buena "vendedora"! Dejé a mi islita, Tenerife, en muy buen lugar ;) jajaja!!!

Mis funciones en el stand consistían en ayudar e informar a cualquier cliente que se acercase al stand pidiendo información.

Tuve que llevar la agenda de muchos representantes y sus reuniones, para asegurar que sus clientes supieran a dónde y a quién  acudir.

También conseguí nuevos contactos para la isla, empresarios que eran posibles inversores.  Les presenté a quién les tenía que presentar, representantes de distintas empresas tinerfeñas, según área, función y responsabilidad.

Fue una experiencia interesante y muy educativo. Me dí cuenta de que, en realidad, soy un muy buena R.R.PP… :P Si se me permite decirlo a mi misma jiji!!!

Por otro lado,  en el terreno personal,  esta experiencia me dado la posibilidad de hacer muchos contactos personales. Contactos que podrían ser significativos… Quién sabe, quizás son contactos que en un futuro próximo me den trabajo :P Crucen los dedos por favor  jaja!!

Volviendo al terreno profesional, esta experiencia me ha enseñado dos cosas muy importantes: cómo hacer algo bien hecho y cómo hacer las cosas  con prisa y menos bien hechas. Pero esos detalles menos positivos me los guardo. Siempre me enseñaron que "si no tienes nada bonito que decir no lo digas” o si preferís “si las palabras que rompen el silencio no van a ser mejores que el silencio mejor guardárselas”.

Sin embargo SÍ diré que  en términos generales todo fue sobre ruedas. Las cosas, las acciones, las decisiones, siempre puede mejorarse pero si están las realizadas cumplen su función y están mínimamente bien… es suficiente!
